A ranger-led bald eagle program at Caledon State Park, Saturday November 21, 10 AM–noon. Learn about the biology and history of the bald eagle and why so many gather at Caledon, then take a wagon ride to the Potomac and walk the beach to watch eagles soar and perch along the shore. Meet inside the Visitor Center. Bring binoculars or borrow a pair from a ranger, dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes; the shoreline may be windy and chilly. Paid reservations are required because space is limited: call (540) 663-3861 or stop by the Visitor Center. The program costs $8 per person or $20 per family, plus the $5 parking fee. Children are welcome. Program questions: Caledon@dcr.virginia.gov.
