Decorate for fall and enter Colonial Beach’s Halloween outdoor decorating contest, “Light Up Halloween!” The October program runs October 1–31, with online signup opening October 1. The town’s published registration form asks for your email, decorated property address, a way to reach you if you win, and a description of your decorative style. The winner receives a sign to display in their front yard recognizing their 2026 holiday-season decorations. The town will announce winners and award prizes during its October 31 outdoor movie evening on Town Hill. Full judging criteria and prize details have not been announced.
